I have been writing about some of the reasons why we need to teach the "whys" - and we certainly find another reason in Luke 1:1-4 -
Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.
Luke researched, interviewed eyewitnesses, compiled all he learned, and shared it so we may have "certainty concerning the things you have been taught." We absolutely want the children in our church and families to have, "certainty concerning the things you/(they) have been taught." This "certainty" comes from teaching the "whys" and Anchored will help you - and their parents/grandparents - teach the "whys" in a way which will engage them and help them remember, so they have "certainty" and a confident faith!
Check out sample lessons at this link and order it at this link. Plan now to use Anchored with the children in your church - and equip the parents and grandparents to use it in their homes with the children they love. When you do this, you will have children who have, "certainty concerning the things you/(they) have been taught." Children who are able to hold on to their faith throughout their lives and who have a confident faith.
